




Position Summary: We are seeking a Production Planning Engineer responsible for production planning, scheduling, and monitoring within the steel industry. Key Highlights: 1. For new projects in the **steel industry**, we require a **Production Planning Engineer based in Vitoria**, reporting to the Operations Director, who will be responsible for production planning, scheduling, and monitoring—ensuring adherence to plans in terms of capacity, deadlines, costs, and efficiency—as well as participating in projects aimed at improving production systems. Key responsibilities include: **Responsibilities** * Develop and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term production plans aligned with demand and production resource capacity. * Analyze installed capacity (production lines, shifts, resources) and propose adjustments to ensure achievement of production targets. * Define workforce, equipment, and material requirements per production line and shift from a planning perspective. * Schedule and prioritize production orders to maximize output and minimize delays. * Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Logistics departments to ensure plan feasibility and proper execution. * Monitor production plans, analyze deviations, and propose corrective actions. * Participate in continuous improvement projects, process optimization, and changes in production levels. * Collaborate in defining and improving production planning and control procedures. * Analyze and optimize inventory levels associated with production planning. * Prepare and present periodic planning, performance, and production status reports to the Operations Director. * Maintain up-to-date documentation related to planning and production processes. * Participate in new industrial projects, contributing capacity analysis, production feasibility assessment, and planning know-how. **Requirements:** * Technical Engineering degree or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field). * Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in production planning within industrial environments featuring production lines. * Willingness to travel occasionally.
