Some of your **responsibilities** will be: * **Team leadership and management:** Lead, coordinate, and supervise the team, ensure compliance with SLAs (Service Level Agreements), and promote team training and professional development. * **Database administration and maintenance:** Install, configure, and update database systems, monitor performance and apply tuning, optimize SQL queries, indexes, and storage structures. * **Data security and protection:** Define and implement database security policies, manage user permissions and access, and implement data encryption and security audits. * **Backup and recovery (backup \& recovery):** Design data backup strategies (incremental, differential, full backups), implement disaster recovery plans, and conduct periodic data recovery tests. * **High availability and replication:** Configure high-availability solutions (clustering, replication, and load balancing) and implement failover strategies. * **Automation and script development:** Create and maintain scripts in SQL, Bash, PowerShell, Python, and design stored procedures, triggers, and functions. * **Support and troubleshooting:** Diagnose and resolve performance issues, transaction locks, and data corruption; provide support to developers and IT teams on queries and data modeling; monitor and resolve high-impact database incidents; coordinate with IT, development, and security teams for integrated solutions; define escalation procedures for critical incidents. * **Auditing and regulatory compliance:** Ensure the database complies with applicable regulations, monitor audit logs, and generate database activity reports. **What we look for**: * **Academic background:** Degree/License in Computer Engineering or Higher Vocational Training. * **Technical knowledge:** Databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, ...), SQL, queries and performance (Query Tuning, Indexing, Partitioning), monitoring and diagnostic tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Zabbix), automation through scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell), Cloud and databases in AWS, Azure and DevOps (CI/CD for databases). * At least 3 years of experience in a similar role. *At BITBOX, we are committed to Equal Opportunities and Diversity, promoting an inclusive and fair environment.
