Flatbed Offset Printing Operator

Description

The Flatbed Offset Printing Operator position requires meticulous preparation of machinery, including equipment setup, adjustment of plates, blankets, and inks, as well as verification of pressure, registration, and paper characteristics such as format and grammage. During the production phase, the professional will be responsible for machine startup, speed control, color registration adjustment, and efficient execution of changeovers between work orders to ensure a continuous and productive workflow. Additionally, they must supervise final product quality by comparing it against reference proofs, monitoring ink density, trapping, and dot gain, and correcting any defects to minimize waste and ensure compliance with established standards. A fundamental part of the role includes accurate interpretation of Work Orders, verifying dimensions, inks, pagination, finishing requirements, and specified quantities, as well as performing basic preventive maintenance, detecting mechanical anomalies, and cleaning the work area to maintain a safe and efficient operational environment. Coordination with other departments—such as Prepress, Binding, and Quality Control—is essential to optimize material consumption and ensure harmony across the overall production process. Hiring will be conducted directly with the company, offering professional projection and development upon joining the team. The annual gross salary will range between 25\.000 and 30\.000 euros, depending on proven merit and experience in the sector. Working hours include rotating morning, afternoon, and night shifts, with fixed time slots from 7 to 15, 15 to 23, and 23 to 7. A minimum of four years’ demonstrable experience as an Offset Printing Operator or Technician is required, with solid knowledge of Work Order interpretation and the ability to perform precise adjustments on printing machinery. Meticulous attention to detail, rigorous quality control, interdepartmental coordination skills, and availability to work rotating shifts established by production are essential.
