### **The Role**
We are looking for a **Cost Controller** to join our Finance team and become a key figure in controlling and optimizing Amphora’s operational costs.
Your mission will be to ensure that costs associated with our logistics services are accurately recorded, invoiced, and aligned with agreed terms. Through analysis of operational and financial data, you will identify deviations, inconsistencies, and inefficiencies impacting business profitability.
You will work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Customer Care teams, as well as with suppliers and logistics operators, to guarantee data quality, resolve incidents, and continuously improve our cost control processes.
This role is ideal for an **analytical, methodical, and detail-oriented person**, capable of handling large volumes of information and eager to understand how the business works to generate real impact on its profitability.
### **Responsibilities**
* **Cost Control and Verification:** Review and validate supplier and carrier invoices, cross-checking them against services recorded in our systems to detect discrepancies between billed amounts and agreed terms.
* **Billing Incident Management:** Identify, report, and track incidents related to costs, coordinating resolution with suppliers and internal teams.
* **Tariff and Condition Control:** Ensure customer and supplier tariffs, contracts, and economic conditions are correctly registered and updated in our systems, identifying and correcting potential inconsistencies.
* **Cost and Profitability Analysis:** Cross-reference revenue and cost data to analyze profitability per customer, service, and operation, identifying deviations from established targets.
* **Carrier Efficiency Analysis:** Analyze carrier assignment per route and customer, detecting patterns of overspending and optimization opportunities. Compare actual cost per shipment against agreed rates and report significant deviations.
* **External Operations Control:** Prepare and review billing information from external logistics operators, verifying it against activity records in our systems.
* **Reporting and Continuous Improvement:** Participate in preparing periodic cost and profitability reports, as well as initiatives aimed at improving and standardizing our controlling processes.
### **Requirements**
* Prior experience in **controlling, cost analysis, billing, or financial/operational analysis**.
* Experience working with supplier invoices and/or cost validation.
* Strong proficiency in **Excel**, especially for data analysis and cross-referencing.
* Experience with **Oracle** is a plus.
* Analytical ability and attention to detail.
* Methodical, organized, and problem-solving oriented profile.
