We are seeking an **Electrical Engineer** specializing in power systems to work on the modeling, development, and deployment of advanced solutions for intelligent management of AC and DC power networks. You will participate in research, design, and development of optimization algorithms ensuring efficiency, stability, and control of complex electrical infrastructures. You will be involved across the entire value chain—from mathematical formulation of network and asset models to programming, deployment, and experimental validation of optimization and control algorithms. You will join **ITG**, a private technological center with locations in **A Coruña** and **Vigo**, specialized in developing differential new technologies and composed of a team of over 200 people committed to generating real societal impact. The center’s culture is built upon well-being, continuous learning, open dialogue, and personal autonomy—creating the space to develop your best professional self. **The Challenges** ️ **Network and Asset Modeling** * Formulate accurate mathematical models of AC and DC power systems, including electrical assets, converters, and energy storage technologies. * Analyze dynamic and operational behavior of systems to feed optimization engines. * Design and maintain high-fidelity model libraries for studying complex networks. **Optimization Algorithm Development** * Design and implement advanced optimization algorithms applied to electric grid operation. * Develop predictive control solutions (MPC) for real-time operational management. * Deploy solutions on IoT platforms and Edge Hardware. **Validation and Commissioning** * Execute model validation against real and emulated equipment on Hardware-in-the-Loop (OPAL-RT) platforms and Cinergia converters. * Develop and execute test protocols to verify algorithm robustness in emulated grid environments. * Interpret experimental results to fine-tune and refine developed algorithms. **What We Expect from Your Profile** * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. * Minimum 3 years’ experience developing optimization solutions, electrical system modeling, or advanced control. * Advanced expertise in power system modeling, power electronics, and energy storage technologies. Experience with modeling in Matlab/Simulink/Simscape. Knowledge of classical, multivariable, and model-based control (MPC). * Familiarity with optimization methods (LP, NLP, MIP, MINLP, Multiple Shooting, decomposition techniques such as ADMM). * Proficiency in Python (Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, Jax, IPOPT, PyTorch) oriented toward scientific software development and numerical optimization. * Ability to deploy solutions on Edge hardware (Raspberry Pi CM4 and CM5\). * English proficiency level C1\. * Residence in A Coruña or surrounding areas. **Conditions** * Indefinite-term contract, with a 6-month probationary period * Hybrid work model * Compensation package commensurate with your prior experience and potential * Summer schedule from June to September (Monday–Friday, 8:00–15:00\).
