**Title:** Prototype and Electronics Technician – Junior (R\+D) **Location:** Palma de Mallorca **Type:** Full-time, permanent contract with probation period **About Us** Decode Ingeniería is a civil engineering and project management consultancy headquartered in Palma. From here, we develop Gemminis, an urban data acquisition and analysis system based on sensors embedded in vehicles and artificial intelligence. Our teams traverse roads and cities across Spain, capturing data that we subsequently transform into actionable insights for public administrations. We are seeking to welcome a recently graduated professional into our technical team — someone eager to work hands-on and intellectually: building, assembling, wiring, testing, and documenting field-deployed equipment. **Your Responsibilities** * Design and adaptation of parts for 3D printing and machining (CAD). * Assembly of mechanical subassemblies: mounts, enclosures, vehicle-mounted equipment anchors. * Wiring and integration of sensors, cameras, and electronic equipment. * Signal verification and system functionality validation using multimeters and oscilloscopes. * Execution of functional tests, incident detection, and proposal of solutions. * Equipment preparation prior to each deployment and post-deployment review. * Preparation of technical documentation: assembly procedures, wiring diagrams, test result reports. **What We’re Looking For** * Higher Vocational Training (FP) degree in Industrial Automation and Robotics or Electronic Maintenance, or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Electronics and Automatic Engineering, or Master’s in Industrial Engineering. * Prior experience is not required. We do seek genuine enthusiasm for learning and solving problems no one has solved before. * Basic CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, FreeCAD, or similar). * Comfort with hand tools and basic measurement instrumentation. * Ability to write clearly and methodically: here, documentation is not a formality — it is part of the product. * Valid EU driving license (Class B). **Bonus Qualifications** * Personal projects involving Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, 3D printing, or robotics. * Familiarity with Python or Linux. * Experience with FDM 3D printers (calibration, slicing, materials). * Technical English for reading datasheets and manufacturer documentation. **What We Offer** * Integration into a small team where you’ll engage with the entire project — not just an isolated component. * Continuous training and technical mentorship from day one. * A hybrid work environment combining workshop, office, and field activities. * Monday–Friday schedule, with shortened hours on Fridays and during summer. * Stability: we seek someone who will grow alongside the project. **How to Apply** Send your CV via Indeed.
