At Fritz\&Muller, we are recruiting for a leading food company seeking a **Senior Procurement Technician / Senior Buyer**, capable of autonomously leading the procurement strategy for one or several categories, managing strategic supplier relationships, and contributing business insight to the department. The selected candidate will lead procurement and supply management for their category, with responsibility for strategic negotiation, supplier development, and cost optimization, serving as the technical reference within the team. **Responsibilities** * Definition and execution of the procurement strategy for the assigned category(ies), aligned with the company’s objectives. * Leadership in the selection, negotiation, and evaluation of strategic suppliers, with responsibility for contract awarding and commercial terms. * Negotiation of prices, delivery timelines, and conditions with key suppliers, focusing on cost optimization and margin improvement. * Supervision and development of raw material qualification processes, leading technical collaboration with Quality to define criteria and specifications. * Design and implementation of contingency and alternative supply plans to ensure supply continuity amid market risks. * Definition of minimum and safety stock policies, coordinated with production plants, suppliers, and Management Control. * Management and resolution of complex supplier issues, acting as the primary contact in escalation situations. * Preparation and review of procurement procedures, technical specifications, and quality requirements, ensuring their update and regulatory compliance. * Market analysis, raw material price trends, and supplier benchmarking to anticipate risks and opportunities. * Reporting and monitoring of procurement KPIs (savings, lead times, service quality) to management. * Mentoring and technical support to junior procurement team members. **Requirements** * Degree in Business Administration and Management (ADE), International Trade, Engineering, or related field. * Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement, supply, or supply chain departments, preferably in industrial or food industry environments. * Proven experience in supplier negotiation and contract management. * Knowledge of raw material qualification processes and supplier quality management. * Advanced proficiency in Excel and management tools (ERP/CRM); experience with data analytics tools is a plus. * Leadership ability, strategic vision, and results orientation. * Advanced negotiation skills and ability to manage executive-level relationships. * High level of English (a second language is advantageous). **We Offer** * Join a sector-leading company strongly focused on innovation and quality. * A role with autonomy and decision-making authority within the procurement function. * A professional development opportunity with potential for growth within the department. * A dynamic and collaborative work environment. * Competitive compensation, commensurate with the candidate’s experience and profile.
