We are seeking a CIS Systems Engineer to participate in the development, evolution, and operation of next-generation CIS systems within a strategic project of the Spanish Air and Space Force. What will you do? Administer and evolve virtualized infrastructures based on VMware vSphere, Hyper\-V, Proxmox, OpenShift Virtualization, or equivalent technologies. Design, deploy, and configure virtualization environments from scratch, ensuring performance, availability, and scalability. Manage hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) storage platforms and SAN, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI storage solutions. Administer Microsoft Windows Server systems and their core enterprise services. Manage Linux servers and associated services such as LDAP, DNS, or IdM. Administer and optimize PostgreSQL databases and complementary services. Implement and maintain monitoring, backup, and recovery solutions. Configure and administer high-availability clusters in Microsoft and Linux environments. Participate in infrastructure and process automation using specialized tools. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to resolve incidents and perform support activities. Contribute to the design, integration, and continuous improvement of the CIS platforms for the program. What are we looking for in you? Don’t worry if you don’t meet 100% of the requirements. Go ahead — learn about our offer and tell us what you can bring to the team! ✅ Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field. ✅ Between 5 and 10 years of experience in advanced IT infrastructure administration. ✅ Advanced experience in virtualization, including installation, deployment, configuration, and administration from scratch of production environments based on VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper\-V, Proxmox VE, OpenShift Virtualization, or equivalent technologies. ✅ Demonstrable experience with hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solutions and high-availability platforms. ✅ Advanced knowledge of Windows Server and Linux. ✅ Experience with SAN, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI storage. ✅ Experience with backup and recovery tools. ✅ Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools. ✅ Minimum English level B1\. ✅ Willingness and ability to travel. **It would be a plus if you have:** VMware VCP certification. Kubernetes and container technologies. Automation with Ansible. PostgreSQL. Defense, Security, or Critical Infrastructure environments. Enterprise storage solutions (NetApp, 3PAR, Brocade, etc.).
