\*PHYSICAL APTITUDE ASSESSMENT TESTS FOR ACCESS\*
Below are described the physical tests to be performed by applicants for the GREA, aimed at evaluating physical aptitudes for service access. Applicants must complete the following physical tests to pass the selection process:
Applicants for positions titled “Emergency Agent”, “Shift Supervisor”, and “Agent Coordinator” must perform the following physical tests. The order of execution shall follow the sequence described herein, although it may be modified due to organizational reasons or facility availability.
AQUATIC ENVIRONMENT ADAPTATION
1\. OBJECTIVE: Assess the applicant’s overall aptitude in aquatic environments.
2\. PROCEDURE: With the applicant standing on the platform, ready to dive and perform the test, the countdown will be: “One, two…” “Go”, and at this signal, the applicant dives into the water and swims 50 m in a back-and-forth course, as specified in the rules. At the midpoint of the course, the applicant submerges and retrieves a ring from the pool bottom, placing it on the pool edge.
3\. RULES:
+ Start is made from the platform upon signal from the test supervisor.
+ The 50 m course is swum freestyle.
+ To retrieve the ring, the applicant may only submerge after completing the outbound leg.
+ The ring must be placed on the pool edge.
+ Once the ring is placed on the pool edge, the applicant may push off with feet and hands to complete the return leg.
+ The test ends when the applicant touches the pool wall upon arrival.
+ At no point during execution may the applicant hold onto the gutter, overflow channel, or any other structure.
+ Time taken is measured in seconds and tenths of seconds.
+ Two attempts are allowed; the better time is recorded.
+ Given the nature of this test, only after its completion will the test supervisor determine whether the applicant completed the course according to these specifications.
+ Null Attempt: An attempt is deemed null if performed in violation of any rule specified above.
BARROW TEST:
1\. OBJECTIVE: Assess the agility of movement of the applicant.
2\. PROCEDURE: Starting position: Standing beside the pole and behind the starting line.
Execution: Complete the figure-eight circuit delimited by five poles—four marking the vertices of an 8.66 m × 5 m rectangle, and the fifth at the center (as shown in the graphical description)—twice in the shortest possible time. First complete circuit A, then circuit B, as illustrated in the diagram.
3\. RULES:
+ Considered null if the applicant knocks over any pole.
+ Considered null if the applicant grasps any pole to prevent it from falling.
+ Considered null if the applicant deviates from the prescribed path, i.e., crosses or exceeds the ideal racing line (even if returning to the correct path).
+ Two attempts will be conducted on the circuit.
+ The interval between the first and second circuit shall not exceed 5\-10 seconds.
+ Execution time ends when the applicant crosses the starting line again.
+ Total execution time equals the sum of times taken for both circuits (A\+B).
PULL-UPS OR CHIN-UPS ON FIXED BAR:
1\. OBJECTIVE: Assess upper-body relative strength of male applicants.
2\. PROCEDURE: Suspended from the bar, palms facing forward, arms fully extended. From this initial position, perform repetitions such that the chin rises above the top edge of the bar, and elbows fully extend during descent.
3\. RULES:
+ Chin must rise above the top edge of the bar.
+ Elbows must fully extend during descent.
+ Swinging is not permitted.
+ Leg movements assisting the motion are prohibited.
+ Only one attempt is allowed.
STATIC FLEXION HOLD ON BAR:
1\. OBJECTIVE: Assess isometric strength of female applicants.
2\. PROCEDURE:
Phase I. The applicant hangs suspended from the fixed bar. Grip may be with palms facing forward or backward, approximately shoulder-width apart. Body remains fully extended.
Phase II. The applicant raises the body using arm flexion until the chin and chest clear the bar height without touching it. If deemed necessary, the applicant may use assistance from a partner or bench to reach the required position. From
