As part of Madbox, you'll join a small, focused New Games team working on new game concepts from their earliest stages. As a **Game Designer \- New Games**, you will own new game opportunities from early concept to playable prototype. You will define the game vision, make fast design decisions, and iterate relentlessly to find what makes a concept worth pursuing. You will work within a small team (1 Dev, 1 Artist) with a lot of autonomy and a clear focus: making great games fast. This is a role for someone who is deeply passionate about game design, has strong instincts, and wants to grow into a future leader at Madbox. **This position is based in Barcelona.** ##### **Y****our future responsibilities and scope:** * Define and maintain a clear game vision aligned with Madbox editorial guidelines * Generate and evaluate new game ideas, and select the ones worth pursuing * Design core mechanics and translate concepts into simple, playable prototypes * Make fast design decisions and iterate based on playtesting, intuition, and data * Assess early potential and know when to push forward or kill an idea * Keep designs simple and focused, especially in early stages * Document design decisions clearly so the team stays aligned * Drive iteration cycles with a focus on speed and learning * Define short\-term priorities and keep momentum within the team * Ensure timely delivery of prototypes and key milestones ##### **The profile we are looking for:** * Strong game design instincts and a deep understanding of what makes games fun * Experience designing and iterating on core mechanics * Ability to generate, evaluate, and kill ideas quickly and pragmatically * Comfortable making decisions in uncertain and fast\-moving environments * Hands\-on and self\-sufficient, able to move fast without waiting for direction * Strong attention to detail on player experience and game feel * Clear communication, able to explain design decisions simply to the team * Good understanding of current mobile game market trends, especially casual * Experience owning a game or feature end to end * Passion for mobile games **Nice to have:** * Working knowledge of Unity or similar game engines * Experience with prototyping tools or rapid iteration workflows * Background in hypercasual or fast\-iteration game development **Please note: unfortunately, this position is not open to relocation, and we cannot offer visa sponsorship.** At Madbox, we value the mindset and how you can fit with our culture by sharing common values and creating great games together.
