From the **HORTICULTURAL** business unit, we are seeking **Laboratory Assistant** profiles based at our Biotechnology Center in **Cabrera de Mar**, with hiring conducted **through a Temporary Work Agency (ETT)** to cover our production campaigns. Vacancies are available for the periods of **June to October** and/or **April/May to December**. **The Biotechnology Center** The position is integrated into our **Cabrera de Mar Biotechnology Center**, a technical and productive environment that provides direct support to the company’s genetic improvement programs. The center comprises three specialized laboratories: * **Cell Biology** (in vitro culture and production of double haploid plants) * **Molecular Applications** (molecular markers, pathology diagnosis, and genetic analysis) * **Pathology** (evaluation of plant material) The selected candidate will work cross-functionally across the different laboratories according to planning and production needs, promoting versatility and continuous learning. **What Will Your Responsibilities Be?** * Providing technical support in executing laboratory protocols across the center’s various areas. * Handling plant material, greenhouse work, and microbiological work under controlled conditions. * Working under aseptic conditions (laminar flow hood). * Assisting with molecular techniques (DNA extraction, PCR, etc.). * Collaborating in pathology bioassays. * Preparing, dispensing, and controlling culture media. * Performing basic equipment and material maintenance. * Managing stock levels of common reagents. * Coding and recording biological material. * Performing basic interpretation of results and reporting to laboratory supervisors. * Maintaining order and cleanliness of facilities (laboratories and growth chambers). **We know you’ll do an excellent job—so we’ve designed these benefits for you…** * A positive work environment and collaborative team. * Initial training and continuous learning in laboratory techniques. * Practical experience in a technical environment conducive to professional development. * Competitive salary commensurate with experience. REQUIREMENTS **What Profile Are We Seeking?** You are the talent we’re looking for if: * You hold an Advanced Vocational Training Certificate (CFGS / FP2) in Laboratory Science, Biotechnology, or related fields. * You have at least 1 year of laboratory experience. * Experience in diagnostic techniques (e.g., PCR, ELISA), in vitro culture, handling of microbiological cultures, or working under sterile conditions is highly desirable. * You possess intermediate proficiency in office software tools. * You are a native Spanish speaker (B2 level English is desirable). * You are organized, rigorous, and detail-oriented. * You adapt well to technical environments with defined protocols and teamwork.
