Our finance team is growing, and we are currently looking for a **Financial Controller.** **What you'll be doing** In your job, you’ll have the unique opportunity to streamline controlling processes together with the Finance Team, to ensure that management has the right insights to steer the organization and propose actions to improve. In addition, you will be involved in finance\-wide projects to improve our efficiency and reporting. In short, your responsibilities are: * Generate the Management reporting for Benelux. * Be a Business partner to General Manager and Area Managers. * Collaborate and support the Local Finance team in Benelux and the global Finance team at HQ in Barcelona. * Support the management team at HQ with financial data. * Manage and coordinate monthly reporting process of Segment/Country/Business Line at all group levels. * Analyze and steer targets; develop plans for financial growth and cost efficiency. * Support with Excel skills to the Local HR manager in the payroll process. * Be responsible for Cash Management for Benelux along with the local Finance team. * Ensure compliance with legal, banking, insurance and statutory obligations, and annual financial statements. * Be the key person for subsidiary audit and handling local auditors including finalizing local annual statements. * Have a full ownership on General ledger and sub ledgers and chart of accounts. * Take ownership of Balance sheet reconciliations (accruals, provisions, etc.). * Handle tax authorities (VAT, CIT, Salary taxes, etc.) and liaison with external advisors. * Responsible for the accuracy and accounting of the physical assets. * Monitor internal control \& risk management. * Generate ad hoc analysis \& projects, both for Benelux but also at Group level. **We get truly excited if you:** * Have a Degree in Economics, Business Administration. * **Have at least 3 years** working experience as a Financial Controller or auditor. * **Mandatory:** Fluent in **English and Spanish.** * Like working in a fast\-growing hectic environment. * Mandatory: **You are based in or close to Barcelona** (requirement to attend HQ three times a week). * Availability to travel to the Netherlands once a month. **Enjoy great benefits at Cooltra:** * Permanent contract. * Flexible hours and free Friday afternoons, so you can find a work\-life bal\-ance that suits you. * Hy\-brid working system: possibility of teleworking up to 2 days at home and 3 days in the office. * You’ll have access to free coffee while enjoying magnificent views of the beach from our amazing office at Norrsken (one of the most spectacular coworking spaces in Barcelona). * You'll have 50% discount on Cooltra services , flexible compensation and the op\-tion to use Payflow for prepaid payroll. * We believe in having fun at work and we organise afterworks and team building activities.
