Job Summary: A gerocultor is an essential professional who supports residents' daily well-being through direct care, assistance with daily activities, and emotional companionship, serving as the center’s most human and constant liaison. Key Responsibilities: 1. Direct care and assistance with activities of daily living 2. Monitoring the user's condition and reporting to the healthcare team 3. Promoting autonomy and quality of life for older adults The gerocultor is the essential professional who sustains residents’ daily well-being through direct care and assistance in all activities of daily living—from personal hygiene and feeding to safe mobilization and emotional support. Their role extends beyond physical assistance: they act as the primary observer of the user’s condition, promptly communicating any relevant changes to the healthcare team and ensuring the resident’s environment remains dignified, clean, and comfortable. Ultimately, they serve as the center’s most human and constant link, combining technical caregiving skills with special sensitivity to promote older adults’ autonomy and quality of life. Personal hygiene and grooming: Perform daily bathing, showers, skin care, shaving, and absorbent product changes, respecting the resident’s privacy. Feeding assistance: Help residents who require feeding support and ensure proper hydration throughout the shift. Mobilization and transfer: Carry out preventive repositioning and assist with movement within the facility, using hoists or wheelchairs when necessary. Monitoring and observation: Detect physical changes (e.g., skin redness or loss of appetite) or emotional shifts and immediately report them to the healthcare team. Environment maintenance: Make beds, keep rooms tidy, and manage soiled laundry for laundering. Emotional support: Listen to and accompany residents in their daily routines, encouraging their autonomy and participation in leisure activities. Incident documentation: Record performed tasks and any relevant observations on the resident’s tracking sheets. Experience: 1 month. Prior experience in the sector is ideal but not mandatory. * Permanent employment contract * Part-time schedule (14 hours \- daily shift) * Gross monthly salary from '800' to '900' * Other relevant information: Weekend daytime position. 07:30 to 21:00.
