




Position Summary: Stantec is seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer with experience in geotechnical analysis, deliverable preparation, and project management support, contributing to the design of engineering solutions. Design of geotechnical solutions for civil and mining works. **Requisition Number:** 24299BR **Description:** Stantec is seeking to hire an INTERMEDIATE GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER for its offices in Peru, a professional with at least 7 years of general work experience. Key responsibilities include: * Conducting geotechnical analyses, including, for example: participation in field characterization programs; support in preparing field characterization programs; geotechnical analyses oriented toward engineering solutions to meet objectives and criteria for designing tailings or rock waste dump structures. * Preparing deliverables: drafting documents and reviewing engineering figures/drawings while maintaining clarity and consistency among them. Presenting deliverables to Stantec supervisors and following up on their comments. * Supporting project management. This includes supporting Project Managers during project execution. * Assisting in the preparation of technical and economic proposals. **Qualifications:** The position requirements are: * A Civil/Geotechnical Engineering graduate with 5 years of experience. * Prior employment with reputable consulting firms (mandatory). * Advanced English proficiency (desirable). * Proficiency in software: AutoCAD Civil 3D, GeoStudio at an intermediate level. * Knowledge of soil mechanics. * Experience in conducting field and laboratory geotechnical investigations. * Experience in designing tailings dams, water dams, and mine rock waste dumps. Design of geotechnical solutions for civil and mining works. * Construction experience – CQC, CQA, or both. * Knowledge of seismic geotechnical engineering concepts, including seismic hazard studies, liquefaction analysis, and use of numerical modeling software for deformation (static and seismic). * Familiarity with international standards for dams, mines, tailings, and waste dumps. **About Stantec:** Stantec’s community comprises approximately 34,000 employees working across more than 450 locations on six continents.
