Forklift Operator

Description

We are seeking an operator to handle a reach truck in a food-sector logistics warehouse in Getafe. The work takes place in a refrigerated environment, with temperature-controlled zones ranging from 4 to 8 degrees Celsius and freezing areas reaching \-24 or \-22 degrees Celsius. Duties include handling meat products and other perishable foods, ensuring the cold chain is maintained to preserve food quality and safety. Key responsibilities include efficient inventory management and supporting order picking. The position requires adaptability to a dynamic and physically demanding environment, where accuracy and strict adherence to safety procedures are essential. Work is performed collaboratively with other operators to achieve daily logistical targets. Initial employment is temporary through a temporary staffing agency, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position after an evaluation period. Working hours are from Monday to Saturday on rotating morning, afternoon, and night shifts. The salary is 10\.83 euros gross per hour. The workplace is a warehouse near Getafe. A valid forklift operator license is required, along with demonstrable experience operating reach trucks. Prior experience in logistics—preferably in cold or frozen environments—is mandatory. Candidates must be able to work rotating shifts covering mornings, afternoons, nights, and Saturdays. Physical endurance to work full shifts under low-temperature conditions is highly valued.
