Functional Analyst – Payment Methods (Travel)

DESCRIPTION Do you have experience in **payment methods, transactional systems, and PCI DSS**, and do you enjoy bridging business, compliance, and technical teams? We are seeking a **Senior Functional Analyst** to participate in the design, validation, and support of critical payment solutions, working with end\-to\-end processes, business rules, security, and high-demand environments. ### **Terms** * **Contract:** Permanent * **Work Model:** Hybrid — 60% remote work and 40% office-based, with flexibility * **Workplace:** San Fernando de Henares, Av. de Castilla area * **Working Hours:** Full-time schedule to be agreed upon * **Salary:** Based on experience * **Travel:** 2\-3 days per month to London * **Language:** C1 English mandatory * **Education:** University degree or Higher Vocational Training qualification ### **Your Responsibilities** * Design and validate **end\-to\-end functional flows** in critical transactional systems. * Analyze business and regulatory requirements and translate them into functional solutions. * Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and impacts on systems. * Participate in internal and external functional reviews and audits. * Act as the liaison between business, compliance, and technical teams. * Clarify complex business requirements and rules. * Perform functional validation of technical deliverables. * Analyze incidents and participate in **root cause analysis**. * Support Operations and contribute to defining procedures, recovery flows, and runbooks. * Produce functional documentation: processes, business rules, use cases, and acceptance criteria. * Maintain traceability between requirements and technical components. * Work with **authorization, reversals, reconciliation, clearing, and settlement** processes — both online and batch. REQUIREMENTS ### **Mandatory** * Minimum **4 years of experience** in functional or technical-functional roles. * Experience in **critical transactional systems**, preferably in payment methods. * 3\-4 years of experience working with **UML**. * Knowledge of **PCI DSS** and its impact on solution design. * Experience with payment processes: authorization, reversals, reconciliation, clearing, and settlement. * Understanding of exception scenarios: fraud, rejections, timeouts, etc. * Experience in **requirements management and functional modeling**. * Knowledge of **SQL**. * Experience designing test cases and test plans. * **C1 English**, both written and spoken. * Availability to travel to **London 2\-3 days per month**. * University degree or Higher Vocational Training qualification. **Important:** Proof of C1 English level must be provided via certification, assessment, or equivalent test.
