The team works on designing and implementing advanced solutions for threat detection and analysis, with an innovative focus on artificial intelligence and natural language processing technologies. Training Objectives During the internship, students will be able to: ✅ **Learn how to design and implement automated security alert analysis systems**, applying advanced artificial intelligence concepts in real-world cybersecurity environments. ✅ **Apply large language models (LLMs)** locally, integrating *Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)* techniques to enrich contextual alert analysis. ✅ **Develop skills in natural language processing (NLP)** applied to internal knowledge sources and threat intelligence platforms such as OpenCTI. ✅ **Understand and apply key operational cybersecurity concepts**, including NDR and EDR alert management, validation of automated systems, and evaluation of metrics such as precision and latency. ✅ **Strengthen the ability to work on interdisciplinary projects**, collaborating with professionals in artificial intelligence, information security, and data analysis. ‍ Mentoring and Follow-up The internship will be guided by an expert mentor from the department, who will provide: Technical and methodological support throughout the internship period. Definition of personalized learning objectives. Regular follow-up and feedback sessions to reinforce competency development. Formative assessment based on project progress and knowledge acquisition. Candidate Profile **Compatible university degrees**: * Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence * Master’s Student in Cybersecurity (preferably from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación – UPM) **Valued skills**: * Interest in applied artificial intelligence and cybersecurity * Knowledge of natural language processing * Analytical ability and critical thinking * Initiative and innovation orientation **Languages and tools**: * Advanced English level (C1) * Prior experience with LLMs, OpenCTI, and threat analysis environments will be valued
