DESCRIPTION We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for the position of Librarian at the SAFA University Center in Úbeda. This is an exceptional opportunity to manage our University Library, which houses a valuable documentary collection of over 55,000 volumes, as well as the Historical Archive of the ESCUELAS PROFESIONALES SAGRADA FAMILIA Foundation. As a University Librarian, you will be responsible for organizing, cataloging, preserving, and disseminating the bibliographic and documentary heritage of our institution. You will work closely with teaching staff and students to ensure that available resources meet academic and research needs. A full-time contract is offered, with working hours and remuneration governed by the XIV State Collective Agreement for University Education and Research Centers. **Key Responsibilities:** * Manage the University Library’s catalog, ensuring its updating and accessibility. * Implement and supervise lending, return, and consultation policies for materials. * Organize and maintain the Foundation’s Historical Archive, guaranteeing the preservation of documents of historical and cultural value. * Advise users on available resources and information-search strategies. * Participate in the selection and acquisition of new bibliographic collections. * Develop and implement activities promoting reading and the use of library services. * Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in librarianship and documentation. * Collaborate in the digitization of documentary collections when required. * Contribute to the promotion and dissemination of the Historical Archive’s holdings. **Requirements:** * Degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent. * Registered as a job seeker. * Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. * Excellent communication skills and user-oriented service orientation. * Basic computer and office software proficiency. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Prior experience in university libraries or archives. * Familiarity with library management systems. * Knowledge of English or other languages. * Project management skills. * Holding a teaching qualification (diploma), Bachelor’s degree in Primary or Early Childhood Education, or a Bachelor’s or Licentiate degree in Pedagogy.
