The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity incidents, while continuously improving our security posture. This role bridges intermediate and advanced expertise, focusing both on operational security and strategic improvements. **Key Responsibilities** **Operational Security** **Focus Area Incident Response** * Lead or support cybersecurity incident investigations, including evidence collection, forensic analysis, and incident reporting. * Develop and maintain incident response procedures and playbooks. * Coordinate with IT and business units during cybersecurity incidents to ensure rapid resolution. **Security Architecture and Risk Management** * Recommend and implement security enhancements across networks, systems, and cloud environments. * Participate in risk assessments and contribute to the design of security controls. * Assist in developing and enforcing cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices. **Training and Awareness** * Cybersecurity awareness improvements training to employees. * Mentor junior team members and share knowledge of cybersecurity trends and threats. **YOUR TASKS** -------------- * Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and analyze potential threats. * Perform real\-time analysis of immediate threats and triage security incidents. * Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security risks. * Support in patch management processes, ensuring systems and applications are up to date. * Lead or support cybersecurity incident investigations, including evidence collection, forensic analysis, and incident reporting. * Develop and maintain incident response procedures and playbooks. * Coordinate with IT and business units during cybersecurity incidents to ensure rapid resolution. * Recommend and implement security enhancements across networks, systems, and cloud environments. * Participate in risk assessments and contribute to the design of security controls. * Assist in developing and enforcing cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices. * Cybersecurity awareness improvements training to employees. * Mentor junior team members and share knowledge of cybersecurity trends and threats. **YOUR PROFILE** ---------------- **Education** * Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field. * Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CompTIA Security\+, CEH, CISSP Associate, GIAC). **Experience** * 3–6 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security roles. * Demonstrated experience with security technologies such as NGFW, IDS, SIEM, Endpoint Security and vulnerability management tools. **Technical Skills** * Proficient in security operations, incident handling, and forensic techniques. * Solid understanding of TCP/IP, computer networking, routing, and switching. * Familiarity with cloud security principles and hands on experience on at least one of the hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, GCP). * Experience with scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) is a plus. **Key Competencies** * Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills. * Ability to work under pressure during critical incidents. * Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). * High degree of integrity and trustworthiness. * Proactive, self\-driven and eager to learn emerging technologies and threats. **Career Progression** This role offers the opportunity to evolve into: * Cybersecurity Specialist (Level 4\) * Cybersecurity Architect * Threat Intelligence Analyst * Security Operations Center (SOC) Lead **YOUR ADVANTAGES** ------------------- To ensure your **work\-life balance**, we offer the option of mobile working We promote **your professional and personal development** through individual training and further education at the Drees \& Sommer Academy We support your **health** with a bonus for sports enthusiasts.
