Strong analytical capability and ability to diagnose complex problems DESCRIPTION At GRUPO DIGITAL, we are looking for a candidate to fill a vacancy at a major IT-sector company. ### **Senior Db2 z/OS Consultant** **Designs the cloud foundation of a critical platform on AWS**, focusing on security, scalability, and efficiency. You will have direct impact on architecture, governance, and best practices from day one. **Conditions** --------------- * **Work Modality: REMOTE** * **Location: SPAIN** — residency in Spanish territory is mandatory \>\> occasional on-site visits to client **Competencies** ---------------- * Strong **analytical capability and ability to diagnose complex problems** * Focus on **performance optimization and continuous improvement** * Comprehensive understanding of the data lifecycle * Ability to communicate effectively with technical and functional teams * Autonomy in **executing critical tasks** REQUIREMENTS **Mandatory** ------------------ * **Proven experience of at least 10 years in DB2 environments under z/OS.** * Minimum 20 years’ experience in database technologies, with **specialization in DB2**. * Experience in **large-scale Public Administration environments**, with direct knowledge of their processes, systems, and operations. * Participation in projects involving: **o DB2 version migrations** **o Data architecture changes** o **Performance optimization of subsystems and applications** * Experience in specialized technical support and **DB2 consulting** within mission-critical production environments. **Education** **University degree** in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent **Mandatory Knowledge** ------------------------------ * **Advanced administration of DB2 for z/OS**, including: o Installation, configuration, and maintenance o Subsystem management o Performance tuning o Storage and space management * Design of **data models** (conceptual, logical, and physical) * **Version migrations and Function Level upgrades** * Diagnosis and resolution of complex incidents * **Performance monitoring and analysis** * Knowledge and hands-on experience with complementary analytics and search technologies, especially: \- ElasticSearch applied to corporate data environments **Desirable Knowledge** --------------------------- * Direct experience in **public sector organizations** handling large volumes of data * In-depth understanding of the historical evolution of DB2 platforms in such environments * Experience coordinating with development, operations, and architecture teams * **Technical certifications** in data platforms or DB2 specialties **What We Offer** ----------------- * **Competitive salary**, commensurate with experience * **Permanent contract** or option for self-employed contract (mercantil) * 22 working days of **vacation** * **Flexible compensation plan**: private health insurance, childcare vouchers, transportation vouchers * **Training** in Technology and Soft Skills * Referral program: €500 per recommended candidate who joins us About us ... **Grupo Digital** We are an IT consultancy with a team of over 150 technology professionals.
