DESCRIPTION **LOCATION:** Ireland (Dublin) **JOB DESCRIPTION** We are seeking an electrical engineer with min. 3 years of experience who will work on projects **covering all types of buildings: Commercial, Healthcare, Residential, Educational, Public Buildings, Hotel & Leisure, Data Centers, etc.** The engineer must be able to produce design drawings, diagrams and schematics, project specifications and schedules for building services design under limited supervision, complying with Irish and European standards, building regulations and CIBSE guidelines. **FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES** As an intermediate electrical engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team and operate under minimal supervision from senior engineers. Your functions and responsibilities include: * Working as part of a multidisciplinary team on large and small projects * Under the direction of a senior engineer, designing mechanical/electrical services packages * Providing technical support and assistance to senior electrical/mechanical engineers * Designing General Arrangement drawings and general service schematics, Fire Alarm, Security and Lighting systems. Reviewing and approving such drawings produced for projects. * Developing mechanical/electrical specifications and drawings to ensure they reflect the latest updated revisions for actual installations. * Coordinating with Quality and EHS on matters requiring engineering information. * Ensuring that project designs and installations comply with national and international standards and EU directives * Understanding drawing control, ensuring new drawing records are produced and reviewed, and existing drawings are updated. * Maintaining company reputation by engaging in Personal Professional Development * Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; building personal networks; participating in professional societies. * Participating in site visits to monitor, review and approve engineering installations * Preparing reports on engineering systems in buildings; * Conducting site visits to inspect and report on installation works and interact with installation contractors; * Conducting site visits to inspect installations; * Attending project and site design meetings; * Preparing budget cost estimates for project designs (also copying the senior engineer). * Complying with the company's Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Management System requirements, i.e., performing work in accordance with process documents and procedures, and maintaining document information/completing departmental forms/records as required. * Understanding and applying our quality policy statement in all aspects of your work. * Contributing to achieving company objectives * Ensuring customer needs and requirements are understood and met. * Assisting in developing and improving internal processes and the company management system by reporting corrective actions, updates and improvement ideas. **MAIN REQUIREMENTS:** * Degree in **Engineering** or equivalent * **3 to 5 years** of relevant experience in mechanical and/or electrical building services design * Proficiency in CAD and IES simulation where possible * Strong practical knowledge of modeling software (**Dialux**, **Elevate**, **Trimble**, **Amtech/IES**) * Two to three years of relevant experience in mechanical and/or electrical building services design * Knowledge of all applicable industry codes, standards and accepted practices in mechanical/electrical engineering **LANGUAGES** Excellent command of English **SALARY CONDITIONS** Permanent contract Competitive salary based on experience and relocation assistance provided
