WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
At Rheinmetall Expal Munitions, we are seeking a new Product Engineer to carry out the technical development of our products.
Responsibilities:
* Coordination and planning of propulsion product development projects.
* Design, formulation, and validation of solid propellants (HTPB-based, nitrocellulose-based, double-base, etc.) according to customer specifications or internal standards.
* Perform ballistic calculations and simulations to define product behavior.
* Coordinate experimental testing: manufacturing, physical-chemical and ballistic characterization tests.
* Analyze test results and prepare technical documentation.
* Prepare and update project and product documentation: test plans, test reports, product specifications.
* Ensure compliance with national and international regulations regarding explosives and energetic materials.
* Participate in product development projects according to customer requirements, coordinating with other departments: Operations,
* Quality, etc., from sample manufacturing through test execution and certification acquisition.
* Identify opportunities to improve existing products in terms of performance, cost, and safety

WHAT YOU MUST BRING
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
* Advanced English language skills (minimum CEFR level B2)
* Proficiency in office software, project management tools, and programming knowledge in MATLAB, PYTHON or similar.
* Driving license category B2.
* Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
* Desirable:
+ Specialized training in energetic materials or explosives.
+ Minimum two years of professional experience.
+ Knowledge of STANAG and MIL standards.
+ Experience working with official bodies and the Defense sector.
+ Solid propellant formulation: HTPB/AP, NC/NG, double-base, composite, etc.
