What will be your **mission**? You will assist and deliver patient care in the surgical area, maintaining constant vigilance over patients’ conditions to collaborate in improving their health and well-being in accordance with departmental processes and policies, working jointly with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians for patient follow-up and treatment. What will be your **responsibilities**? * Properly monitor the controlled substances circuit. * Correctly apply isolation measures. * Appropriately mobilize patients. * Monitor mucocutaneous integrity and prevent pressure ulcers (PU) per protocol. * Early detection of signs and symptoms of complications in patients and newborns, as well as ability to communicate them effectively. * Verify correct preparation of surgical materials according to procedure and surgical specialty, and report any incidents identified before, during, and after surgery. * Initiate maternal health education regarding breastfeeding, following established procedures. * Act in accordance with the established “skin-to-skin” protocol during the newborn’s first moments of life. * Monitor and properly maintain surgical instruments during the newborn’s first moments of life. * Appropriately handle, clean, monitor, and store specialized equipment. * Carry out required administrative procedures for patient admissions/entries and discharges/exits, as well as related documentation, to facilitate the entire clinical process.
