Description

**Job Requirements** Can you help us solve the biggest engineering challenges? At Quest Global, we develop engineering and technology solutions across the entire product lifecycle, enabling our clients to tackle major challenges in aerospace and defense, automotive, energy, high-tech, rail, and semiconductor sectors. We are over 23\.000 people across 20 countries, passionate about innovation and committed to making the world a better place—pushing boundaries every day to achieve what initially seemed impossible. **WHAT WILL YOU DO DAILY?** We are seeking a Development Mechanical Engineer to join a small technical team and participate in the design, development, prototyping, and industrialization of high-technology mechanical solutions and systems. The position is particularly focused on mechanical design of structures, assemblies, and components; their integration with various systems; and subsequent manufacturing, assembly, and validation. We seek a hands\-on professional who enjoys both CAD-based design and direct interaction with physical products: building and assembling prototypes, verifying interfaces and alignments, identifying issues, and proposing practical solutions. This role offers a high degree of autonomy and involvement across the full development cycle—from initial concept through functional prototype to subsequent industrialization. Key Responsibilities 1\. Mechanical Design and Development * Design and develop mechanical structures, assemblies, and components. * Design frames, supports, enclosures, structures, brackets, and integration systems. * Develop mechanical solutions for integrating diverse components and equipment. * Define mechanical interfaces, fastenings, tolerances, fits, and assembly requirements. * Carry out complete development of mechanical assemblies—from concept to prototype. * Optimize designs considering manufacturability, assembly, maintenance, and scalability. * Resolve mechanical issues throughout development phases. 2\. CAD Design and Technical Documentation * Use Onshape as the primary CAD design tool. * Create 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings. * Properly manage product structures and technical documentation. * Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles. * Work with tolerances, fits, interfaces, and dimensional requirements. * Experience with other CAD systems such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, Creo, or equivalent will be valued. 3\. Prototyping and Hands\-on Work * Directly participate in prototype fabrication and assembly. * Assemble mechanical structures and assemblies. * Verify dimensions, interfaces, fits, and component alignment. * Identify issues during assembly and modify designs as needed. * Perform adjustments and improvements on prototypes. * Participate in functional testing and validation. * Incorporate insights gained during assembly and testing into the design. 4\. Manufacturing and Industrialization Design considering real-world manufacturing processes, especially: * Laser cutting. * Sheet metal bending and forming. * Profiles and structural framing. * Machining. * Welding and other joining methods. * Commercial off-the-shelf components and standardized parts. * Assembly processes. * Prototype and low-volume production. It is important to understand actual capabilities and limitations of manufacturing processes—including tolerances, surface finishes, joining methods, and assembly requirements. The candidate will participate in evolving solutions from initial prototype to industrially viable, reproducible, and scalable designs. 5\. System Integration * Mechanically integrate diverse components, equipment, and subsystems. * Define supports, fastenings, interfaces, and assembly systems. * Ensure proper accessibility, maintainability, and assembly of all elements. * Coordinate mechanical interfaces with other engineering disciplines. * Resolve interferences and integration issues between different systems. 6\. Technical Supplier Management * Coordinate fabrication of components required to build prototypes. * Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers. * Define technical requirements and monitor progress. * Resolve technical queries with suppliers. 7\. Fluids and Thermal Management Knowledge The project may involve fluid management and thermal control systems, so prior knowledge in the following areas will be valued: * Piping and tubing. * Hydraulics and fluid circuits. * Pumps, valves, and fittings. * Heat exchangers. * Mechanical integration of cooling systems. * Supports and structures for hydraulic systems. **WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?** * Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification. * Minimum 6 years of professional experience in mechanical design and development. * Solid experience in 3D design and development of mechanical assemblies. * Proficiency in parametric CAD tools. * Experience in design for manufacturability. * Knowledge of sheet metal, laser cutting, and profiling. * Understanding of tolerances, fits, alignment, and assembly processes. * Practical experience in prototype construction and assembly. * Experience working directly with suppliers and manufacturers. * Ability to interpret and generate manufacturing drawings. * Capacity to work autonomously and assume responsibility for one’s own developments. Especially valued: * CAD software experience—Onshape preferred. * Experience developing physical products or complex mechanical systems. * Experience designing modular structures and systems. * Experience in industrialization and low-volume manufacturing. * Knowledge of piping and hydraulics. * Experience with cooling or fluid management systems. * Experience integrating diverse technologies and subsystems. * Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly. * Experience working in small, multidisciplinary engineering environments. * Experience in technology, industrial, or critical infrastructure sectors will be positively considered. **WHAT DO WE OFFER?** Quest Global is a place where we value curiosity, authenticity, and the talent of every individual. We believe that the diverse experiences and backgrounds of our team bring unique perspectives—so at your workplace, you’ll have the freedom to unleash your creativity, explore possibilities, propose ideas that are heard and valued, and grow both professionally and personally. At Quest Global, you can benefit from: * Individualized development plans and mentoring programs: technical training and certifications fully covered by the company. Access to multiple learning platforms offering over 7\.000 courses and language training aligned with job requirements. * A birthday leave day, \+ 23 annual paid vacation days, and non-working days on December 24 and 31. * Work-life balance initiatives, flexible working hours, and teleworking policies—tailored to project needs and role characteristics. * Access to telemedicine and medical check-ups via app, plus additional benefits such as mental health support and fully free exercise programs. * Flexible compensation plan: private health insurance, meal vouchers, transportation vouchers, childcare vouchers, and care vouchers for dependent persons. * Corporate Social Responsibility Committee and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) promoting professional development grounded in equality and diversity. Programs supporting women in STEM careers and charitable initiatives focused on children. * Team activities: sports, team\-building, emotional intelligence training, and the annual Quest Global Fest. If you’re a curious person—one who won’t settle for just one piece of the puzzle—apply to this vacancy. We want to meet you!
