




We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with extensive experience in cloud environments and Big Data ecosystems. Responsibilities You will be part of a key team driving the evolution of the Data Lake, ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of analytical systems. Requirements * More than 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer in complex environments (experience in the education or institutional sector is a plus). * Strong expertise in data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical). * Experience with AWS-based Data Lake and Data Lakehouse architectures: S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, Lambda. * Advanced proficiency with cloud-based data processing tools: AWS Glue, Apache Spark, PySpark, Databricks, and orchestration tools such as Airflow. * Advanced SQL + Python and/or Scala applied to data. * Design and maintenance of robust, scalable, and monitorable ETL/ELT pipelines. * Experience with data cataloging, metadata management, and data governance: AWS Glue Data Catalog, Collibra, Alation, or similar tools. **Required:** \\\- University degree in: Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields. \\\- Master’s degree in Data Engineering, Data Science, Big Data, or Systems Architecture **Preferred certifications:** \\\- AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty \\\- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) \\\- Certifications in data integration platforms Benefits * Permanent contract from day one. * Initial 3-month project, extendable and followed by reassignment to other projects. * Hybrid working model in Madrid: Initial on-site presence during the onboarding phase; subsequently, a hybrid model. * Annual gross salary of €42,000–€45,000 If you are motivated to work with large-scale data, AWS cloud architectures, and contribute to strategic decision-making through analytics, this is the right opportunity for you!
