We are currently seeking a **Compliance Technician** for our **Legal Department**, based at our **Madrid offices.**
**What skills do we expect from this person?**
* Participate in the management, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the Criminal Compliance Model and other cross-functional Group compliance models.
* Collaborate in identifying, assessing, and monitoring compliance risks, proposing controls, mitigation measures, and action plans.
* Support the management of the Internal Reporting System.
* Draft, update, and implement policies, procedures, protocols, and controls related to the Compliance System.
* Drive and monitor annual Compliance plans.
* Design and deliver training and awareness initiatives on Compliance, corporate ethics, criminal risk prevention, internal reporting channels, and animal welfare.
* Participate in Compliance audits.
* Manage system documentation, ensuring traceability of evidence, controls, and communications.
* Contribute to developing a robust Compliance culture.
* Provide support for initiatives related to specific compliance models, including animal welfare and other cross-functional projects.

**We seek a candidate who can contribute:**
* 2\-3 years’ experience in Compliance, preferably within corporate environments, business groups, retail, services, veterinary, consumer goods, or sectors with high operational reach.
* Experience in criminal compliance and in managing, monitoring, and improving crime prevention models.
* Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and reference standards in Compliance.
* Experience drafting and monitoring policies, procedures, controls, risk matrices, action plans, and compliance evidence.
* Participation in managing the Internal Reporting System and internal investigations.
* Proficiency in Excel and analytical capability to transform data into useful information; experience with AI tools to improve efficiency is a plus.
* Experience or interest in third-party, supplier, and partner qualification processes.
**Preferred qualifications:**
* Valuable experience in internal Compliance audits, control reviews, evidence testing, and tracking improvement plans.
* Familiarity with criminal Compliance models in Portugal.
