Join our team of Environmental Educators and become part of the Maresme Integrated Waste Valorization Center, a leading facility in waste management.
Under the slogan **“Recycling and Energy”**, it constitutes a **European reference center**, both in waste treatment and energy generation.
**Where will you work?** Maresme Integrated Waste Valorization Center (Carrer de la Teixidora, 83, 08302 Mataró (Barcelona)).
**What type of contract do we offer?** Fixed-term discontinuous contract.
**Salary:** €21,805.57 gross annual.
**What will your working hours and schedule be?** Immediate start until June 22, 2026.
* You will work part-time (12 hours) Monday to Friday between 08:30 and 13:30, varying according to scheduled visits. Occasionally, you will also work weekday afternoons and weekends.
**What will be your duties and responsibilities?**
Once you join our Education team, in the **Environmental Education area**, your challenges and responsibilities will be the following:
* Raise awareness and sensitize visitors about environmental issues related to waste and the importance of proper waste management and its impact on the environment.
* Dynamize visits and workshops for different audiences, primarily school groups (primary, lower secondary, upper secondary, and vocational training).
* Ensure welcoming and farewell procedures for your group.
* Distribute evaluation questionnaires to the group and assess the activities carried out.
* Provide support in preparing reports.
* Communicate and manage incidents.
* Attend internal coordination meetings.
* Monitor stock levels of consumable materials required to carry out activities.
**What are we looking for?**
To successfully undertake this new challenge, we seek a candidate who brings the following knowledge, experience, and competencies to our team. Keep reading to find out if you are the person our team needs!
* Your ideal academic background to successfully perform these tasks is: Bachelor’s degree or Higher Vocational Training Certificate (CFGS) in: Biology, Microbiology, Environmental Sciences, Geology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Environmental Education and Control, or similar fields.
* Prior experience in similar environmental education projects delivered to children, families, and/or collaboration in leisure-related activities will be valued.
* Strong command of Catalan (C1), Spanish, and English (B2).
* A negative criminal record certificate for sexual offenses.
* Flexibility regarding working hours.
* To access your workplace, you must hold a driving license (category B1) and have your own vehicle.
* Residency near Mataró or good connectivity with the Maresme region.
