Job description Are you passionate about leading logistical transformation and optimizing asset fleet management? We are looking for a Logistics Director to ensure excellence in our deliveries and maximize the profitability of our rental fleet. Functions and responsibilities As a key and strategic position, you will be part of the Management Committee and report directly to the General Management. Your main mission will be to design, implement and lead the comprehensive logistics strategy to ensure coordination between different departments (sales, retail, logistics) in order to deliver high-quality and excellent service, ensuring operational efficiency and profitability. **Your main responsibilities will be:** **1\. Asset Strategy and Management (Fleet):** * Strategic Planning: Define and implement the medium- and long-term logistics strategy, aligned with the company's growth and profitability objectives. * Cost Optimization: Identify and implement initiatives to reduce costs and improve efficiency in transportation, storage and maintenance. * Budget Management: Develop, control and be responsible for the annual budget of the logistics and maintenance department. **2\. Operations and Logistics Transformation:** * Integrated Logistics: Manage and optimize transportation processes, equipment preparation, and complex reverse logistics (collection, inspection and refurbishment of machinery). * Digital Transformation: Lead the implementation and optimization projects of WMS and logistics ERP systems to improve real-time inventory visibility and control. * Transport Management: Negotiate and supervise contracts with transport and logistics providers, ensuring service quality and on-time delivery. * KPIs and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and periodically report the department's performance to management. **3\. Leadership and Teams:** * Team Leadership: Lead, train and develop logistics administration, drivers and fleet management teams, fostering a culture of high performance, safety and operational excellence. * Compliance and OSH: Ensure strict compliance with legal regulations (transport, occupational health and safety, and environmental). Required qualifications * Education: University degree (Engineering, Business Administration or similar). A Master's or postgraduate degree in Logistics is highly valued. * Experience: Proven 5 to 8 years of experience in logistics director roles, preferably in the machinery rental sector. * Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams, with strong negotiation and decision-making skills. * Competencies: Strategic vision, results orientation, analytical thinking and adaptability to change.
