DESCRIPTION The Loyola Foundation, an educational institution belonging to the Society of Jesus, is seeking to hire a **School Counselor and Secondary and Vocational Training Teacher** for the San Ignacio de Loyola School in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. **Mission** To advise, support, and accompany tutors, teaching staff, students, and families in psychopedagogical guidance across its different dimensions (personal, academic, and professional), and in all actions aimed at ensuring the integral education of students. Promote and coordinate the objectives established by the Educational Management of the Foundation within their scope of action. **Main responsibilities:** * Support tutors in their role as facilitators of group dynamics and classroom coexistence by providing strategies and resources for managing situations that promote a positive relational and school climate. * Collaborate with tutors and teaching staff in the prevention and detection of student learning difficulties, academic challenges, and other risk behaviors, conducting appropriate psychopedagogical assessments. * Carry out interventions with students and their families, together with the tutor, in cases requiring special attention and/or support at personal, social, academic-professional, family, or similar levels. * Be part of the school coexistence management team: * Develop preventive strategies for situations contrary to coexistence regulations. * Support students participating in peer assistance and school mediation programs. * Take responsibility for coordinating student well-being and protection. * Implement projects promoted by the Foundation's Educational Management. * Prepare required technical reports and documents according to current regulations. * Develop necessary support materials to achieve established objectives within their area of responsibility. * Manage documentation required by institutions or others regarding the student population they work with. **We offer** The opportunity to be part of a meaningful institutional project representing a significant professional challenge, personal and professional growth, as well as integration into a team of experienced education professionals who work with motivation in an excellent working environment. **Contract type**: Permanent **Working hours**: Part-time, 85% of full time, with possibility of increasing in future academic years. **Start date:** October 2025 Working conditions according to the sector's collective agreement Application deadline**: 10/18/2025** REQUIREMENTS **Academic qualifications** * Bachelor's degree or equivalent in **Psychology or Psychopedagogy**. * Pedagogical Aptitude Certificate (CAP) or Master’s Degree in Secondary Education Teaching. **Valued qualifications** * Master's degree(s) in Early Intervention, Universal Design for Learning, or other studies related to diversity support. * Training in accompaniment. * Training in inclusive paradigms. * Training in psychopedagogical assessment. * Training in group dynamics. * Trainer certification. * Training in school mediation. * Pedagogical innovation in education. **Other requirements:** * English level B2 or higher, certified according to the CEFR. * Professional experience in diversity support at early childhood, primary, and/or secondary education levels. * Professional teaching experience. * Experience in counseling and mentoring educators, students, and families. * Advanced office software skills. * Knowledge of academic management ERP systems. * Familiarity with educational environment tools.
