The Port Services team specializes in delivering advanced solutions—including equipment, software, and maintenance—for container handling and lifting at ports across the country, optimizing port operational efficiency. Job Description We are looking for a Port Field Service Technician to join our team in Las Palmas. As a Service Technician, you will be entrusted with critical tasks related to maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various lifting equipment and systems. Key responsibilities include: * Performing preventive maintenance tasks, carrying out upgrades, and executing repairs across our full range of port cranes. * Accurately and efficiently diagnosing and resolving equipment faults. * Serving as the direct liaison with customers, our engineering department, and teams from our parent company to ensure seamless operations. * Identifying and reporting potential sales opportunities during service calls. * Meticulously completing all required documentation. * Expertly performing repairs and upgrades on drive systems with attention to detail. Requirements This position demands a high level of technical competence, strong problem-solving ability, and the capacity to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic port environment. Essential qualifications: * Specialized training or equivalent in electrical disciplines. * Experience in electrical fault diagnosis and wiring. * Ability to read technical drawings. * Strong problem-solving and fault-troubleshooting skills. * Willingness to work rotating shifts (morning, afternoon, night, and weekends) and overtime as required. * Physical capability to climb stairs and work at height. * Interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction. * Valid driver's license. * Unwavering commitment to safety protocols. Desirable qualifications: * Demonstrable experience in port crane assembly. * Experience in ship-to-shore crane unloading. * Proficiency in understanding and communicating in English or other languages will be considered an advantage. Please note: * This position requires availability for rotating shifts (morning\-afternoon\-night\-rest). * This position demands a high level of technical competence and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic port environment. * Overtime will be compensated accordingly. * Candidates must be prepared for the physical demands of the role, including working at height and under varying weather conditions. * Candidates with disabilities who possess the aptitude to perform the job will be equally valued.
