WORKSHOP OPERATOR

Description

The Workshop Operator must ensure the correct execution of manufacturing, assembly, repair, or maintenance processes for assigned products or components, complying with the company's established quality, safety, and productivity standards. Their role is to ensure that each technical task is performed accurately, efficiently, and safely, contributing to the smooth operation of the workshop and meeting delivery deadlines. Assemble compact desalination plants, reverse osmosis systems, ultrafiltration units, water softening systems, filtration systems, and industrial water treatment systems. Interpret mechanical drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P\&ID), layout drawings, and manufacturing technical documentation. Assemble frames, metal structures, supports, and equipment integrated into the plant. Install PVC, PVC\-C, PE, PP, stainless steel, and other materials used in industrial hydraulic installations. Perform cutting, machining, threading, bonding, welding, and pipe and fitting assembly operations. Install pumps, filters, reverse osmosis membranes, valves, tanks, instrumentation, and other hydraulic components. Carry out mechanical connections of equipment and accessories according to technical specifications. Verify alignments, tightening torques, leak tightness, and proper functionality of assembled units. Conduct hydraulic pressure and leak tightness tests on pipes and equipment. Collaborate in the assembly of electrical panels and instrumentation cabling, following instructions from the technical department. Install sensors, flowmeters, pressure transmitters, conductivity meters, pH meters, and other process control equipment. Identify and correct issues detected during assembly phases. Complete manufacturing records, quality control sheets, and production reports. Maintain order, cleanliness, and proper organization of the work area and assigned tools. Apply the company's quality, environmental, and occupational risk prevention procedures. Collaborate with engineering, production, and commissioning departments to ensure timely delivery and compliance with quality standards. Prepare equipment and plants for dispatch, packaging, and loading. Participate in installation, assembly, and technical assistance activities at customer sites when required. Perform preventive maintenance and upkeep of workshop tools, machinery, and equipment. * 3 years of experience. • Vocational Training Certificate (CFGM\-CFGS) in Electricity\-Plumbing • Knowledge of PVC welding is desirable. • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or assembly positions. * HIGHER VOCATIONAL TRAINING (FP DE GRAU SUPERIOR) QUALIFICATION * Competencies / Knowledge: Interpretation of mechanical and hydraulic drawings. Knowledge of industrial piping assembly. Proficiency in using manual and electric workshop tools. Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and water treatment. Experience assembling industrial equipment and process systems. Ability to conduct hydraulic tests and functional verifications.
