Mentor animators and provide feedback for believable performances **Company Description** ----------------------- **ATLANTIS ANIMATION** is an animation studio based in the heavenly Canary Island of **Tenerife.** A combination of creative talent and technology definitely distinguishes us as a different studio to produce **high quality animated series** and **feature films.** We produced the sensational series **Tara Duncan** and **Miraculous Ladybug season 5,** both broadcasted on **Disney Channel** and **Disney \+.** We are now getting ready for an absolutely **new captivating project,** the series **'Messi and the Giants',** produced by **Sony Music Vision, Sony Pictures Television Kids** and **Leo Messi Management,** and broadcasted by **Disney****.** An epic saga where a young boy named Leo is transported from his home in Argentina into a fantastical alternate universe. If you love animation challenges and unexpected adventures, and if you feel you have that special **inner magic spark**, we want to hear from you! **Job Description** ------------------- We are currently looking for a skilled and passionate **3D Lead Animator** to join our growing team for the series ***Messi and the Giants***. This is a high\-profile international 3D project, blending imaginative storytelling, strong character development, and top\-quality animation. As Lead Animator, you will guide and support the animation team alongside the Animation Supervisor, ensuring the creative vision is realized while maintaining technical and artistic standards. You’ll mentor animators, provide feedback, and help deliver believable performances, action sequences, and emotional beats in line with the show’s style. **Contract length:** From as soon as possible until October/November 2026 **Type of contract:** Full\-time, Fixed\-term. On\-site in Tenerife (Remote work won’t be possible for this specific role). **Main Responsibilities:** * Lead and support a team of animators, setting assignments and managing workflow. * Be the key contact for the production and animation supervisor. Maintain clear communication, deal with creative challenges, provide solutions and adapt to changes in production \& scheduling * Set and manage team assignments in collaboration with the animation supervisor * Be aware of workflow templates, methodology and documentation; provide to the team where necessary * Effectively manage the team to avoid potential conflict or disagreement * Attend dailies and present the work of your team; guide artists on how to present their work * Coach, share knowledge and assume some responsibility for the progression of more junior members of the team * Provide regular feedback to the team to ensure that work is always delivered on time to the highest possible standard * Work with the technical animators to ensure that show wikis are kept up to date * Interpret and animate from storyboards, animatics, and director’s notes * Ensure animation meets the show’s visual style and storytelling goals * Meet the agreed quota **Requirements:** * Previous experience mentoring or leading a team * Proficiency in Maya * Previous experience working on full 3D animation TV shows is required * Solid understanding of animation principles (timing, spacing, weight, anticipation, etc.) * An understanding of rigs and typical rigging set\-ups, animation pipelines and transferring data between tools * Experience with animation tools, scripts, or custom rigs * Team player with a proactive and problem\-solving attitude * Strong communication and organizational skills * Good level of spoken and written English * Available to work on\-site in Tenerife; EU citizenship or Spanish residency required. **What We Offer:** * The chance to work on a high\-profile, international 3D animated series * A dynamic, creative, and collaborative work environment * 10/11 months fixed\-term contract with potential for extension * Exposure to a talented international team of professionals * Opportunities for growth and development within the studio If you’re excited about bringing characters to life and want to be part of a passionate team working on a major animated production, we’d love to hear from you!
