Position Summary: Tragsatec is seeking a Skipper of Vessels to operate and manage vessels, as well as assist in their maintenance and daily report drafting. Key Responsibilities: 1. Assist in vessel maintenance and draft reports **Number of Positions Available** ---------------------- 1 **Company** ----------- Tragsatec **Project / Reason for Hiring** --------------------------------- Tecnologías y Servicios Agrarios, S.A., S.M.E., M.P., a subsidiary of the TRAGSA GROUP, specialized in engineering, consultancy, and technical assistance services in agricultural, livestock, forestry, and environmental matters, seeks to hire 1 Skipper of Vessels in La Palma **Workplace** -------------------- * La Palma (Santa Cruz de Tenerife) **Functions and Tasks** ---------------------- * Operate a 12-meter vessel equipped with two 450 HP engines * Process and manage vessel documentation and certificates with the Maritime Captaincy * Organize and assist in vessel maintenance tasks and other duties assigned by the Administration * Draft daily activity reports within the marine reserve area **Specific Requirements** -------------------------- Compliance with the requirements and/or merits must be substantiated through assessment tests and/or by attaching the required documentation in the “Annexes” section of the registration questionnaire. The Tragsa Group reserves the right to request at any stage of the process documentary evidence supporting the information provided in the application, as well as to require additional information from the curriculum vitae whenever necessary to verify the stated requirements and/or merits detailed in this job vacancy. ### **Education** #### **Qualifications** * Hold a Higher Technician Degree in Maritime Transport and Deep-Sea Fishing, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Nautical Science and Maritime Transport, or a Higher Technician Degree in Navigation – Fishing and Maritime Transport (degree recognized in Spain or equivalence certificate issued by the General Secretariat of Universities), or an official qualification authorizing vessel dispatch under List 8 ### **Prior Experience** * Minimum 2 years’ experience as a skipper of vessels at least 10 meters in length ### **Other Mandatory Requirements** * Valid medical certificate issued by the Social Institute of the Sea * Updated maritime registration booklet * Valid fire-fighting training certificate * Valid medical training certificate required for dispatching this type of vessel * Valid basic safety training certificate * Training in non-rigid rescue boats **Merit Criteria (Evaluated)** ------------------------ ### **Education** #### **Additional Training** * Accredited training in Word and Excel (verifiable via course or subject) * Training in vessel mechanical systems (verifiable via qualification or subject) ### **Prior Experience** * Between 2 and 8 years performing skipper and dispatch duties on vessels at least 10 meters in length equipped with engines of at least 900 HP (documented) **Observations** ----------------- * Offer includes: + Fixed-term contract of approximately 6 months, with possible extension if applicable, respecting the maximum duration limits established under current labor legislation for each contractual modality. Contract type and duration will depend on the hiring cause, project, and circumstances of the selected candidate(s). + Work schedule follows an alternating weekly pattern (one week on, one week off), totaling 10.5 effective working hours per day, with variable shifts.
