In this 1 year apprenticeship you will acquire knowledge in the following areas: * Exchange Bearings and gears as per engineering drawings and remanufacturing specifications * Be able to perform standard mechanical assembly procedures, perform rework, and repair of gearbox components and systems to drawing specifications Downtower in the repair shop or Uptower in the Wind Turbine. * Repair and Assembly of WTG 750KW, 1\.5/1\.6MW and 2\.x MW turbines. * Maintain proper handling of GE tools and equipment. * Possess thorough knowledge and ability to use all tools associated with assembling units according to required specifications: + lifting equipment, wall and overhead cranes + Hydraulic and electric Torque tools + Specific hydraulic pullers for disassembly operations + Other Tools included but not limited to impact drills, magnetic drills, drill press, angle grinders, sanders, basic hand tools (manual and pneumatic) + Measurement Tools, calibers, oil flushing equipment. * Read and understand mechanical layout, engineering drawings * Follow all EH\&S guidelines and policies * Follow good environmental practices and waste management procedures.
