We are seeking an EVENT COORDINATOR for our HESPERIA VIGO HOTEL. What will you do on a daily basis? - Planning, organizing, preparing, and executing events. - Budget management. - Event coordination with clients: payments, collections, invoicing. - Driving sales and promoting company services. - Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and lead generation. - Conducting market research and competitor analysis to stay informed about industry trends and identify areas for business growth. - Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients and external contacts. - This position is fundamental to the company’s growth and success, as you will be on the front line of customer interaction. What do you need for this role? - University degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or related field. - Knowledge of commercial techniques and sales. - Organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Teamwork orientation. - Proven experience in sales functions within 4-star hotels, with extensive meeting room capacity. - Experience in acquiring new clients in domestic markets, attending trade fairs and roadshows/workshops with other companies. - Familiarity with major DMCs (Destination Management Companies). - High proficiency in both Spanish and English is mandatory; a second language (e.g., French or German) is valued. - Minimum two years’ experience as an Event Coordinator or similar role in 4-star hotels.
