As 2nd Chef, your mission will be to assist the Head Chef in supervising and coordinating culinary operations. What will be your duties and responsibilities? * Related to team management: * Collaborate with the department head in the following functions: * Conduct onboarding for new hires * Provide training to new hires within your department * Identify talented employees and analyze your team’s training needs * Organize, lead, and coordinate the work of personnel under your supervision * Motivate and engage team members and resolve any issues arising among them * Related to departmental management: * Strictly comply with workplace safety, hygiene, and health regulations * Deliver correct and professional service at all times * Collaborate with the department head in the following functions: * Assign and supervise team members’ tasks * Organize team work shifts and input variables into the relevant systems * Ensure proper adherence to standards * Ensure team members wear appropriate uniforms and demonstrate exemplary conduct * Meet objectives set by Management * Attend meetings with your team, Management, and other departments * Accurately convey necessary information to other departments, following company-established procedures. * Keep Hotel Management informed and collaborate with them in hotel operations management * Support the team during peak workload periods * Clean utensils and store them in their designated locations * Address potential customer requests and incidents * Monitor special customer requests * Place orders to the storeroom * Support various kitchen stations—hot, cold, pastry—rotating through each * Culinary event management (depending on whether the hotel offers this service) REQUIREMENTS You are the perfect candidate if... * You have 2 years’ experience in the same position * You can communicate in German and/or English (hospitality level) * Knowledge of food hygiene and safety, as well as culinary techniques, will be valued
