**Description:** ---------------- At Althaia, we are a university-affiliated healthcare network serving as a reference for 280,000 inhabitants, primarily from the regions of Bages, Moianès, and Solsonès, as well as Berguedà and Cerdanya. We manage the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital in Manresa, with 407 acute-care beds; two primary care centers; one sociosanitary center; one dependency care center; various mental health programs; and a private clinic — delivering comprehensive healthcare and social services. Our mission is to provide these services with quality and efficiency within an organization oriented toward meeting people’s needs and fostering both technical and human excellence among our professionals. Annually, we admit over 30,000 inpatients, perform more than 27,500 surgical procedures, and assist over 1,200 deliveries. We conduct approximately 461,000 outpatient consultations and attend around 128,000 emergency cases, of which roughly 3,000 pertain to mental health. We are a university hospital through our agreement with the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC), and train clinical specialists (MIR, PIR, IIR, and LLIR). We also promote research and investigative projects. The Urology Department comprises seven specialists and serves a population of 170,000. This department functions as the referral center for oncological urological conditions in Berguedà and Cerdanya, thereby also providing clinical coverage to the Berga Hospital and the Cerdanya Hospital. Currently, a large operating room is available each morning and two afternoons weekly for complex pathology, alongside four outpatient operating rooms scheduled weekly. The team manages oncological, non-oncological, and andrological/reconstructive uro-genital pathology. We employ advanced technologies including three 100W Holmium lasers (e.g., Magneto), robotic surgery (HUGO RAS Medtronic), 3D 4K laparoscopy, combined mini-percutaneous surgery for renal lithiasis (ECIRS), microsurgery (microvaricocelectomy), among others. Clinical services are delivered via outpatient consultations each morning and three afternoons per week; ward rounds are conducted every Saturday. The department maintains daily on-call availability.
