




Job Summary: We are seeking a cook for a senior residence in Igualada, responsible for menu planning and food preparation, addressing dietary incidents, and supervising kitchen assistants. Opportunities for permanent employment Grup Carles collaborates with a senior residence in the city of Igualada to incorporate a person into its kitchen team to cover a long-term staff absence (until September 2026\). Design menus and prepare and cook food. Address and implement dietary-related incidents concerning residents: diet changes, schedule adjustments, specific nutritional requirements, etc., as instructed. Plan, supervise, and coordinate kitchen assistants’ work. Check food quality. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes and personal judgment. Regulate oven, grill, toaster, and other cooking equipment temperatures. Use large-scale kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, or griddles. Inspect and clean the kitchen, kitchen equipment and utensils, and service areas to ensure safe and hygienic food handling. Carry out traceability records for prepared foods. Complete the center’s established records. Comply with and apply food hygiene regulations and the HACCP system. Store all products delivered by suppliers. Conduct weekly warehouse checks, ensuring no expired or deteriorated food items are present, and update inventory levels. Experience: 1 year. Extensive experience as a cook in institutional catering is mandatory. Experience in institutional catering, senior residences, or similar settings is highly valued. * Temporary employment contract (4 months) * Full-time position * Additional relevant information: Full-time or part-time employment contract.
