Set up accounts upon guest arrival according to their requirements. Enter information into the Marriott Rewards program. Ensure rates align with market pricing and document exceptions. Obtain payment prior to issuing room keys, verify and adjust billing. Compile and review daily reports/journals/occupancy lists. Complete cash and closing reports. Inform and guide guests, and provide hotel-related information. Respond to guest requests by escalating to appropriate staff when necessary. Follow up to ensure all requests are resolved. Process all types of payments, vouchers, refunds, and charges. Balance and deposit receipts. Conduct cash counts at the beginning and end of each shift. Obtain manual authorizations and follow all accounting procedures. Notify Property Protection/Security in case of guest-reported theft. Assist management in training, evaluating, counseling, motivating, and mentoring staff; serve as a role model and resource for Guarantee of Fair Treatment (GFT) / Open Door Policy. Develop and maintain positive professional relationships; collaborate and support one another to achieve common goals; listen to and appropriately address employee concerns. Follow and implement all brand policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to supervisors; complete safety trainings and certifications; maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times on the job; respect hotel confidentiality; protect all company assets. Welcome and greet guests, anticipate and respond to guest needs, assist guests with reduced mobility, and warmly thank guests. Communicate clearly and professionally; prepare and accurately proofread written documents; answer telephone calls using appropriate language. Uphold quality standards. Enter and retrieve information using computers and/or point-of-sale systems. Be accustomed to standing, sitting, and moving for extended periods. Lift, carry, pull, push, and place items weighing up to 4.5 kilograms independently. Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisors that are consistent with this position.
