Functions of the Elderly Care Assistant at Hospital Sant Joan Baptista Residential Center: \-Follow and carry out assigned tasks according to lists provided by the Care Team Supervisor. \-Assist users when getting up, dressing, and undressing. \-Help users with personal hygiene, skin hydration, proper condition of mouth, ears, fingernails, toenails, and hair. \-Place, if necessary, assistive devices (prosthetics, wheelchairs, walkers, canes, etc.). \-Apply restraints and protections prescribed by the physician. \-Feed dependent users and support them in tasks they cannot perform independently, using appropriate technical aids. \-Perform postural changes and document them under the supervision of nursing staff. \-Set tables, receive, and distribute meals to dependent users, either in the dining room or in their rooms. \-Serve snacks and meals between main mealtimes (hydration, afternoon snacks, special diets, etc.). \-Stimulate and maintain users' abilities to delay deterioration and enhance their personal autonomy. \-Listen to users and detect possible unexpressed problems. \-Provide attention to family members while respecting the user's privacy. \-Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding users' medical conditions and aspects related to their privacy. \-Support users—with the necessary conditions and attentiveness—so they feel at home and in a familiar environment. \-Promote human, social, and interpersonal relationships among users. \-Collaborate and coordinate with other professionals on the team to improve user care.
