# Welcome to ***Colectivo Farina:*** A space to experiment, taste, and cook collectively, created by **[bifaz](https://www.instagram.com/bifazworks/).** ## \*\*What's it for?\*\* Colectivo Farina aims to **reconnect with ingredients and revive forgotten cooking techniques**, reducing gadgets and focusing on the **manual**, the **artisanal**, and even the **ancestral**. All through a **shared and participatory practice**, where cooking becomes once again a collective act, more than an individual task. At bifaz, we believe that future eating depends not only on what we will cook, but also on how and with whom, placing emphasis on cooking as an **act of community and resistance to the fast-paced life** we lead. ## \*\*What is it about?\*\* This project consists of **culinary gatherings** based on a central theme (which will vary in each edition), aiming to **reflect** on the **sustainability, culture, and future** of our culinary practices. All this culminates in a **collective cooking activity**, where the final result will mostly be (but is not limited to) pasta, used here as a versatile, accessible, and deeply communal format. ## Why *Farina*? From the Latin farīna, meaning “flour” or “fine grain powder”, a foundational ingredient across countless cultures since ancient times. Economical, everyday, and substantial, flour represents simplicity at its finest. And that’s precisely what this project is about: **returning to the essentials**. Cooking from the basics, without artifice, where **pasta will be our main vehicle**, not because of technique, but for what it symbolizes: unity, manual work, and a shared starting point. ## What it is NOT It is not a clandestine dinner. It is not a pasta workshop. It is not a restaurant. Here, **we are all cooks**, and no one is left out. There are no leading roles or hierarchies: the outcome is always the product of all our hands and minds. In this **1st Edition**, we will focus on **minimizing** ingredients, without sacrificing flavor, from their quantity to their simplicity, using the everyday as our central axis. We do everything from scratch, so get ready to get your hands dirty :) # Things to keep in mind: - The event is free, but the venue (Akasha Hub) requires a **membership fee of 5 €**, which you can arrange in advance through this [link](https://buy.stripe.com/3cs5nS4dO05m53yfZ0) (if it fails, payment can be made in cash on the day). We look forward to seeing you!
