Director of the Professional Development Center
**For the Girona region**
The Director of the Professional Development Center leads Gentis Foundation’s integrated service unit focused on competency development, lifelong learning, business engagement, and professional opportunity generation. The role is responsible for ensuring the effective integration of guidance, training, business prospecting, and employment insertion services, promoting comprehensive pathways for participants and guaranteeing the quality, sustainability, and impact of delivered services. It acts as the lead for strategy, team coordination, business relations, and new opportunity generation, ensuring alignment between individuals’ needs, businesses, and the labor market.
##### **What will you be responsible for?**
**Strategic leadership of the Professional Development Center: Lead the center’s strategy aligned with Gentis Foundation’s organizational model and strategic lines.**
* Develop, monitor, and evaluate the Professional Development Center’s annual plan.
* Define objectives, priorities, and monitoring indicators.
* Identify emerging needs for professional qualification and continuous learning.
* Detect strategic economic sectors and development opportunities.
* Promote new training, guidance, and business engagement initiatives.
* Foster methodological innovation and service improvement.
* Ensure the center’s alignment with Gentis’ model, values, and strategy.
**Integration of guidance, training, business, and employment insertion services: Ensure coordinated service delivery and the construction of comprehensive pathways for participants.**
* Coordinate focal points across different services.
* Promote internal referral pathways among guidance, training, business, and employment insertion.
* Ensure opportunities generated by one service are shared across the entire center.
* Promote common working and monitoring methodologies.
* Avoid duplication and ensure technical coherence of pathways.
* Facilitate cross-functional workspaces and operational coordination.
* Ensure the center functions as an integrated service unit—not a collection of separate programs.
**Training activity and continuous learning development: Guarantee a professionalizing, flexible training offer aligned with individuals’, businesses’, and the labor market’s needs.**
* Jointly define, with teams, the center’s annual training offer.
* Promote specialized training, requalification actions, and competency enhancement pathways.
* Promote hybrid, virtual, and in-person training, coordinated with other focal points.
* Develop customized training for businesses and productive sectors.
* Ensure academic, methodological, and documentary quality of training activities.
* Align training with needs identified by guidance and business services.
* Promote lifelong learning as the cornerstone of professional development.
**Business engagement and talent development: Build a stable network of collaborating businesses and ensure alignment between professional development, employment opportunities, and the productive fabric’s needs.**
* Lead the center’s business engagement strategy.
* Foster alliances with businesses, trade associations, professional bodies, and strategic sectors.
* Identify talent needs, professional profiles, and required competencies.
* Promote internships, dual training, qualification initiatives, and employment placements.
* Promote customized training services and joint projects with businesses.
* Coordinate business prospecting with the center’s overall objectives.
* Reinforce Gentis’ positioning as a strategic partner in talent development.
**Leadership and people management: Lead and develop the center’s professional teams, fostering commitment, cooperation, and internal talent development.**
* Lead multidisciplinary teams linked to guidance, training, business, employment insertion, and administrative support.
* Support onboarding of new staff.
* Identify staffing and professional development needs within teams.
* Promote internal training and shared learning. \- Foster a culture of cooperation, shared responsibility, and results orientation.
* Manage conflict situations or operational incidents.
* Ensure corporate and methodological information is effectively communicated to teams.
**Economic management and sustainability: Guarantee the center’s economic sustainability and efficient use of allocated resources.**
* Participate in the center’s and activity-line budget planning.
* Monitor financial and budgetary execution.
* Analyze deviations and propose corrective measures.
* Identify new funding sources, calls for proposals, and sustainability opportunities.
* Validate expenditure, investment, equipment, and resource needs.
* Coordinate\-with Finance for economic control and performance tracking.
* Ensure efficiency and sustainability of the center’s services.
**Institutional representation and alliance development: Position the Professional Development Center as a reference in lifelong learning, professional qualification, business engagement, and talent development.**
* Represent Gentis before public administrations, businesses, organizations, educational institutions, and local stakeholders.
* Participate in networks, coordination forums, sectoral committees, and working groups.
* Promote strategic alliances with businesses, training centers, and institutions.
* Identify cooperation opportunities and joint projects.
* Promote the Gentis brand within professional development.
* Strengthen connections between the center, the productive environment, and community resources.
* Contribute to the institutional positioning of the Foundation.
**Quality, innovation, and impact: Promote a culture of quality, innovation, monitoring, and evaluation of the center’s outcomes.**
* Analyze activity, quality, transversality, and impact indicators.
* Monitor the center’s annual objectives.
* Identify best practices and improvement opportunities.
* Promote methodological and organizational innovation processes.
* Participate in drafting reports, outcome documentation, and annual summaries.
* Evaluate the impact of pathways, training, business engagement, and employment placements.

##### **What are the requirements?**
The Director of the Professional Development Center must hold **a university bachelor’s or master’s degree**, preferably in Social Sciences, Education, Psychology, Pedagogy, Sociology, Business Administration and Management, Labor Relations, Economics.

##### **What we offer**
1 permanent full-time position (100%)
**Working hours**: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., plus one afternoon shift (37.5 hours/week).
️ Intensive summer schedule (8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.)
1 hybrid workday per week.
**Salary grade**: Group 0 \+ Coordination Allowance \= €33,405.82 gross/year.
