In collaboration with Commonsense, we are seeking a **FIRST OFFICER NAVAL MECHANIC**, Diesel Specialist (naval/industrial sector), with demonstrable experience in repairing, diagnosing, and maintaining marinized diesel engines and propulsion systems for leisure craft. We seek a highly skilled individual with technical autonomy and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex failures both on test benches and onboard, accustomed to working to high-quality standards within a dedicated technical team focused on propulsion and power generation systems. **What will be your mission within the team?** * Electronic engine diagnosis using official manufacturer equipment and diagnosis of diesel engine faults. * Identification and repair of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and hydraulic faults. * Execution of scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance. * Repair and inspection of inboard propulsion systems, as well as engine mounting and dismounting. * Repair of cooling, fuel, lubrication, intake, and exhaust systems. * Engine start-up, system verification, and sea trials to confirm proper repair functionality. * Compliance with workshop quality and safety protocols. **What do we offer?** * Stable employment with a leading and continuously growing nautical company in Catalonia. * Indefinite-term full-time contract. * Competitive remuneration and salary commensurate with experience, skills, and technical level. * Initial training provided by the current position holder to ensure a smooth transition, plus ongoing training with official manufacturers. * Positive work environment, collaborative atmosphere, and opportunities for professional development. * Workshop equipped with official diagnostic tools and specialized machinery. * Work location on the Costa Brava (Palamós area). **What are we looking for?** * Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a naval mechanic or in an equivalent role. * Professional category: First Officer. * Extensive knowledge of marinized diesel engines. * Experience in electronic diagnosis using official manufacturer equipment. * Experience working with brands such as Volvo Penta, Yanmar, Solé Diesel, among others. * Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, and technical manuals. * Autonomy in managing complex repairs, capacity to work in a team, and availability for interventions both in the workshop and onboard. * Organized, responsible, and quality-oriented individual. **Especially valued:** * Knowledge of ZF, Bravo, DuoProp, IPS transmissions, shafts, stern drives, and marine propulsion systems. * Specific training in naval mechanics. * Knowledge of onboard electricity and electronics. * Technical English proficiency. **If you are interested in this position and believe you fit the profile, apply now!**
