Job Summary: We are seeking an R&D Manager to lead additive development projects, manage teams, and collaborate on technological strategy. Key Responsibilities: 1. Lead development projects for new additives and their formulations. 2. Manage the R&D project pipeline and research budgets. 3. Scientific and technical leadership with strategic technological vision. R\&D Manager **Responsibilities** **R\+D Strategy Definition** * Design a technology and innovation strategy aligned with business strategy. * Identify technological trends and market needs. * Define roadmaps for new products and technologies. **New Product Development** * Lead development projects for new additives and their formulations. * Coordinate research, experimentation, and validation activities. * Oversee scale-up from laboratory to pilot plant or production. **Innovation Project Management** * Plan, prioritize, and manage the R\+D project pipeline. * Manage research budgets. * Coordinate multidisciplinary projects (laboratory, production, marketing). **Team Management** * Lead the laboratory technical team. * Define objectives and evaluate team performance. **Collaboration with Other Departments** * Work with product management and sales to identify market opportunities. **Requirements** **Education** * PhD / Bachelor's degree in Organic Chemistry. **Experience** 5–10 years in: + Organic synthesis laboratory: - Experience in reactions including: * Oxidation * Etherification (Hydroxylation and Carboxymethylation) + Ability to learn inorganic chemistry (industry sector knowledge) + Experience in manufacturing chemical additives (pressure and temperature): - Dispersants - Humectants - Thickeners - Coalescents + Experience leading multidisciplinary teams. + Ability to liaise with suppliers. **Key Competencies** * Scientific and technical leadership * Innovation management * Strategic technological vision * Multidisciplinary team management **About Caldic** At Caldic, we are a global leader in distribution solutions, serving diverse markets worldwide.
