Job Summary: The candidate will collaborate in the design, construction, integration, and validation of sensor and instrument prototypes, providing mechanical consulting and managing suppliers. Key Responsibilities: 1. Collaborate on the design and validation of sensors and instruments 2. Provide mechanical consulting during the conceptualization of optical and electronic components 3. Prototype integration and verification, including supplier management The hired candidate will collaborate in the design, construction, integration, and validation of sensor and instrument prototypes developed at CD6, within the framework of its research programs. Mechanical consulting during the initial conceptualization phases of sensors and instruments incorporating optical and electronic components. 3D CAD design of mechanical components. Machining of precision opto-mechanical components using lathes or milling machines. Prototype integration and verification, including necessary adjustments. Supplier management. Maintenance of workshop mechanical equipment and machinery. Keeping records updated in the center’s management system. * Minimum 1 year of experience in 3D CAD design, mechanical component manufacturing using lathes and milling machines, and machinery maintenance. Experience in similar roles—specifically in research activities, both in academic and industrial environments—is highly valued. * Higher Vocational Training Certificate (FP Grado Superior) * Catalan (spoken: advanced, written: advanced) * Spanish (spoken: advanced, written: advanced) * Competencies / Knowledge: Proficiency in 3D CAD design; mechanical manufacturing using lathes and milling machines. Technical Competencies: Mastery of 3D CAD tools; proficiency in operating lathes, milling machines, and other standard mechanical workshop equipment. * Temporary employment contract (7 months) * Full-time position * Gross monthly salary ranging from '2000' to '2030' * Additional relevant information: Annual gross remuneration: 31\.098,48 €/year (for full-time position)
