GAME MASTER / ACTOR-A – HORROR ESCAPE ROOM | DARK CITY **Dark City** is looking to hire new **Game Masters** to join our team. We are seeking dynamic, responsible individuals eager to fully immerse themselves in the experience. We don’t merely seek someone who can run a game—we want people capable of **portraying a character, building tension, improvising, and ensuring every group has an unforgettable experience**. What will you do? * Welcome and prepare groups before each session. * Portray characters within a horror-themed experience. * Monitor and oversee gameplay. * Interact with players and adapt the experience according to the group. * Provide hints and manage the session’s pacing. * Conduct pre- and post-session briefings. * Prepare and reset rooms between sessions. * Ensure all game elements are correctly placed and fully functional. * Collaborate with another Game Master during sessions. What are we looking for? * An **extroverted, decisive, and responsible** individual. * Strong acting and improvisation skills. * Ability to embody a character and maintain it throughout the experience. * Excellent interpersonal skills with the public. * Calm demeanor and ability to respond effectively to unexpected situations. * Punctuality and commitment. * Availability primarily on **Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays**. * Interest in escape rooms, horror, acting, or immersive experiences. Preferred qualifications: * Prior experience as a Game Master—though **not required**. * Acting experience, especially in horror or immersive experiences. * Experience working directly with the public. * Previous participation in escape rooms. * **English proficiency**, particularly the ability to communicate with international groups. * Availability to work evenings and weekends. **No prior experience is required.** Above all, we seek attitude, responsibility, acting ability, and enthusiasm to learn. Relevant experience in escape rooms, acting, or customer service will be viewed favorably. About Dark City Dark City is a **120-minute horror-themed escape room**, designed for groups of **2 to 8 players**, where atmosphere, live performance, and interaction with Game Masters form a core part of the experience.
