We require a dynamic individual with strong analytical and financial skills, as well as knowledge of commodity markets and typical trading operations, to meet the needs arising from Trading’s ambitious Growth Plan. We seek a candidate capable of applying deep theoretical knowledge (e.g., price evolution models, option valuation, etc.) to the real-world business of commodity trading. **Main Responsibilities:** ======================= * Define and implement price evolution models (GBM, mean reversion, two-factor models –SS\–, etc.). Validate results obtained using these models. Explain their strengths and weaknesses. * Calibrate model parameters and justify criteria used for selecting them. * Value commodity contracts, including real options modeling (contract analysis to identify embedded options, modeling, selection of valuation methodology, etc.). * Extract and present conclusions in an accessible, pedagogical manner for senior management. * Support implementation of quantitative developments into official systems (ETRM). Ability to use methods and tools for processing large volumes of data. * Programming (e.g., Matlab, Python, VBA...). Advanced proficiency in office software and statistical packages. * Application of econometric models for price dynamics. * Excel expert, capable of handling large volumes of information. * Ability to synthesize and present conclusions in a clear, pedagogical manner to business stakeholders and senior management. **Desirable:** * Prior experience in commodity/utility sector companies. * Knowledge of commodity markets (both physical and derivatives) and associated pricing. * Database knowledge. * Experience in risk analysis / investment valuation. * Familiarity with Market Risk methodologies and metrics.
