Job Summary: We are seeking a Waiter/Waitress Assistant to join the Ona Hotels team in Alcudia, delivering restaurant service and customer service in a holiday environment. Key Highlights: 1. Beverage preparation and order management Ona Hotels & Apartments is a company specialized in the management and operation of holiday resorts. Currently, the company manages a portfolio of 50 accommodations, most of which are located in Spain’s main tourist destinations. We are experiencing rapid growth and expansion! That is why we are looking for a WAITER/WAITRESS ASSISTANT to join the ONA team in Alcudia! What would your responsibilities be? · Serving breakfast. · Setting up and clearing the buffet, as well as supporting maintenance and restocking. · Customer service. · Table service during meal hours. · Clearing and preparing the restaurant and pantry. · Assisting the head waiter with restaurant-related tasks. · Taking orders. · Verifying that customers meet the legal minimum age for consuming alcoholic beverages. · Ensuring customers enjoy their meals and taking corrective action in case of any issues or incidents. · Answering questions about menu items and making recommendations upon request. · Explaining, upon customer request, how menu dishes are prepared, including ingredients. · Recommending beverages to customers. · Informing customers about daily specials. · Clearing tables after customers have finished. · Preparing hot and cold beverages. · Setting up and/or clearing the dining room and/or other areas. · Following waste recycling procedures. What do we require from you? - Minimum qualification: Intermediate-level vocational training in Hospitality and Tourism or ESO (experience highly valued). - Minimum 1 year of experience. - Knowledge of cash handling. - You must be able to adapt your schedule to the establishment’s varying needs during high- and low-occupancy periods (trade fairs, conferences, Holy Week, long weekends, etc.), as well as to customer needs (we will notify you as early as possible). - Shift work and rotating days off. - Due to our regular guests, we require at least intermediate English proficiency (ability to converse and serve customers using standard restaurant terminology).
