**Job Description** We are seeking an AI Automation Engineer who combines backend development in **Java** with the use of AI (LLMs, RAG, ML models) to automate business processes. This is a cross-functional role capable of understanding business processes, designing workflows, implementing solutions, and supporting deployment into production. **Responsibilities** * Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for AI-powered automation. * Design and implement **workflows** that integrate: o LLMs / RAG for information reading, classification, content extraction, or generation. o RPA / BPM / orchestration tools (e.g., Flowable, Camunda, Robot Framework, UiPath, or others). o REST API integrations with enterprise systems. * Develop backend services in **Java** (preferably using Spring Boot or similar frameworks) that embed AI models within business processes. * Collaborate with development, systems, and business teams to deploy, test, and monitor automated solutions. * Measure and report on solution impact (e.g., time savings, error reduction, SLA compliance, manual effort reduction). * Document automated processes and support internal user training. **Mandatory Requirements** * **2–4 years of experience** in: o Backend development with **Java** (Spring Boot or similar), and/or o Process automation (RPA, BPM, system integration). * **Must have** experience building REST services in **Java** (APIs, JSON, error handling, basic security). * Knowledge of integrating external APIs (REST, OAuth2/OIDC authentication). * Experience working with containers (**Docker**) and deploying to server environments (on-premise or cloud). * Prior integration of AI into at least one process (e.g., consuming LLM APIs, automated text classification or summarization, chatbots, virtual assistants, etc.). **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience or familiarity with messaging/streaming platforms such as **Kafka** and/or **Apache Flink** for event and process orchestration. * Basic knowledge of **Python** and/or JavaScript/TypeScript for scripting, glue code, or lightweight integrations. * Experience with RPA/BPMN platforms (Flowable, Camunda, UiPath, Robot Framework, etc.). * Experience integrating with ITSM/ticketing tools (Jira, ServiceNow, etc.). * Understanding of AI security and data protection best practices. * English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
