Position Summary: Stantec is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to contribute expertise in open-pit mining, reserve and resource reporting, and mine plan optimization. Key Highlights: 1. Development of daily, weekly, monthly, and strategic mine plans **Requisition Number:** 24300BR **Description:** Stantec is seeking to hire a Senior Mining Engineer for its offices in Peru, a professional with at least 10 years of general work experience. Some of the specific responsibilities include: * Serving as a Competent Person for NV\-4301 or JORC reserve and resource reporting. * Experience in pit and phase optimization using Whittle, MMSO, or NPVS software (Whittle preferred). * Proven experience with one of the following mine design software: Vulcan, MineSight, Deswik, or Carlson. * Experience creating optimized mine plans using Deswik Scheduler is an advantage. * Development of daily, weekly, and monthly plans; Forecast and Budget; Mine Life Plan; and Strategic Plan. **Qualifications:** Requirements for this position are: * Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering from an accredited university. * Minimum 10 years of experience in open-pit mining. * Experience in engineering and operations at an operating mine is considered an asset. * Advanced level of English proficiency. **About Stantec:** Stantec’s community comprises approximately 34,000 employees working across more than 450 locations on six continents.
